坂本龍馬
Рьома Сакамото
This renowned liberal and progressive samurai hailed from Tosa earned deep respect from his bodyguard and trusted confidante, Akizuki. He played a pivotal role in brokering a crucial alliance between the historically antagonistic Imperialist clans of Choshu-han and Satsuma-han. Despite his significant diplomatic achievements, Ryōma Sakamoto met a tragic end when he was assassinated in a Kyoto inn in 1867.
