Despite his sheltered, wealthy upbringing, his friendly nature helps him form strong bonds, particularly with Suzaku. Though initially naive about the real world, he seeks a normal life at Ashford Academy. After witnessing Kallen’s incredible combat prowess, he develops a deep respect for her, eventually facing her on the battlefield to confront her new identity.
