Taito Magatsu

Rising from humble peasant roots, this skilled Ittō-ryū swordsman seeks vengeance against the samurai responsible for his sister's death. A rare survivor of battles against Manji, he often fights alongside his former rival despite their frequent clashes. Driven by the loss of his lover, O-ren, he eventually tracks down Shira, ultimately defeating him with his unique triple-sectioned weapon, the Grand Turk. Though he briefly left the Ittō-ryū, his enduring bond with Anotsu eventually leads him back to the group.
